Machine Quilting at the Next Level - Have you done some machine quilting but want to learn more?  Bring your questions and problems to this class and learn techniques to advance your skills.  Emphasis is on free motion techniques including feathers, stippling and background fillers.  Issues of tension, thread and batting choices will be discussed.  Learn how to approach a large project and be successful.  Confident beginner and beyond.   6 hours.


A Day With Feathers – Spend the day with feathers!  In the morning you will design a feather border specific to your quilt.  Learn tips and techniques for your personal design.  In the afternoon you will be quilting YOUR design.  Information on stippling and other background techniques.  Confident beginner/Intermediate.  6 hours.


Designing Feather Borders – Learn to design graceful feather borders specific to your project.  Simple tools and techniques to make the process easier.  Marking and quilting techniques are covered but no sewing is done in this class. Suitable for both hand and machine quilters.  Beginner and beyond.  3 hours.

Trapunto With Your Machine – Trapunto can add surface interest to your quilting.  Learn to choose appropriate designs.  Thread, batting and background choices for successful work will be covered.  Working on a small piece will let you get your questions answered.  Confident beginner (free motion experience helpful).  3 hours.


Choosing Quilting Designs – Learn how to analyze a top and choose quilting designs based on style and proportion. Marking, thread and batting choices will be covered.  Learn the process which helps make your quilt the best it can be.  Suitable for both hand and machine quilters.  No sewing in class.  3 hours.

Successful Stippling – Everyone loves the look of background stippling.  Tips and techniques for improving your work.  Tension, thread and batting choices are discussed.  Work on a small quilt or a practice piece to improve your technique.  Free motion experience necessary for success.  3 hours.
